A Bar is Born

My very first batch of cold process soap is "off the rack" and ready to test. The recipe is pretty straight forward, lots of grapeseed oil, some sunflower, mango butter and castor oil as a super fat.
I love it's color and the fragrance is Energy from Bramble Berry, which is a huge hit with the girlfriends!

Speaking of the girlfriends, they'll all be the recipients of a bar so that they can put it through the testing process and let me know what they think. My sweet hubby and first born, Austen, have also offered to lather up and fill me in! I have lots and lots of ingredients that I want to work in and more bars on the rack. Stay tuned to my etsy shop... they'll be listed soon!

Hey Heidi! It sure is addictive! I just made a batch with BB's tomato leaf. I wish you could smell the bubble lab. YUMMMM!! I hope I can hold out the 4 weeks! :)

This looks great; how did the Tomato Leaf turn out for you? I just had a gal report that her soap seemed softer than usual when she used it?

Hey Anne-Marie! I just pulled the Tomato Leaf out of the mold...Gosh! It smells divine (no pun!) It does seem a little soft, but nothing that I'd have noticed without your post.
I'm a total CP novice, though.

Hmmm...putting tomatoe leaf on my wish list = )

I'm so impatient I can never wait to use my soaps! It will sit on my kitchen counter for 2 or 3 days and once its lost the stickiness there's usually an end piece by my sink or in the shower = )
