How Do You Feel About Fall?

Well, it's here. There are leaves in the driveway, the air is cooler and the Tunbridge Fair has come and gone (check back for that post~as long as you have a strong stomach!) It's Autumn in Vermont. For me, fall is bitter~sweet. I LOVE the upcoming holidays and all of the tradition that comes our way. I will miss the care~free days of summer. *sigh*

So, how about you? How do you feel about this time of year? What are your favorite things about it? Recipes? Family Traditions? Treasures to pull out from the closet? Let me know! Let's make it a giveaway! I'll use Teresa's method to pick a winner on Sept. 21st. You'll win 2 bars of Twin Birch Artisan Soap... Perfect Pumpkin and Cranberry Cheer.

Happy Fall! :)

I love cool mornings and sunny but cool days, the smell of dry crunchy leaves, fall flowers and abundant apples, fresh and crisp! Soup, bread, and apple desserts!! I LOVE fall. The only thing I don't like is how short it is in Vermont:(

I love fall, too! Nesting in the house and doing a big fall clean, going for walks and smelling wood smoke, and of course, making Fall soaps!

Autumn and spring are my 2 fav seasons. Autumn smells better than any other time of year, not just because of the spices associated with it. It just smells great, and I don't know why.

I love having to put on long pants again, and the boys look forward to their favorite holiday: Halloween.

And I would also love to win your soaps! (I'm still savoring your Pamplemousse by my sink. It's so citrusy, yet lady-like at the same time!)

I love Fall, driving around in the Pacific Northwest, you can pick apples and pears in the Gorge, see the pretty leaves turning colors, the cool chill to the air before the sun comes out and before the four months of rain.

Oh man, I know I had posted something here a couple of days ago, but must have shut down a window before it got sent.

Autumn is my fav season next to spring, so I love most things about it (except for the swarming yellow jackets). The best part of fall for my kids is Halloween. I also associate pecan pie with fall so I tend to make it often then (not sure why since it's not like we harvest pecans here...not yet anyway; our pecan trees have another 10 years or so before we'll see nuts from them).

Would LOVE to win your soaps (am perfectly happy to pay for them too, but winning is so much fun)! They'd complete our fall decor beautifully. :)

I like fall a lot -- every leaf gets to be a flower. Or something like that! ;)

Fall was always so pretty, but it saddened me every year. I was always so sad in the Winters, that Fall was the indication that darkness would soon fall upon my cheery self and put me in a state of mental hibernation. So Sad I KNOW> Now I'm good. Fall is hot here, so I like Winter in Florida the best....

OK, ou can turn the happy on again. I'm done remembering! ;)

I love fall too, but its bittersweet. I don't look forward to the long winter. Last winter was really long, so I hope things even out this year = ) Still, there's something wonderful about getting cozy in front of the fire w/a good book and cup of tea!
