Soy Joy!
I have been making candles for about six months. It's hard! Each batch has been challenging and part of a big learning curve! I have so much respect for chandlers! Thank goodness for all of the fabulous forums out there! I've been reading WSP's forum which has a lot of information for trouble shooting when candle-making. There are also fabulous people on Pixie Lee's Soap Forum who are a wealth of information and super, super nice!
Anyway, tonight the soy angels were taking pity on me! Somehow, I was able to pour a lovely Blue Sky All Natural Soy Candle that didn't have cracks, sink holes or a sadly out of place wick! Like all other B&B people, as soon as I saw how well it came out, I began to stress about duplicating it! :) Of course, I'm going to make a bizillion of them and list them on Etsy! Anybody got a match?

I'm so jealous... I actually think it's easier to make CP soap or m&p (which I'm not great at) then it is to make a decent candle!
I think it's so cool that you know how to create soooo many wonderful products and love to see what you have "in store" next. The Blue Sky candle sounds wonderful~ I can smell it way down here :). For years my husband has thought to "dabble" in candle making. I know it's not just melting wax, but a real science...
I love making soy candles! I just bought 50 lbs of soy wax and 50 jars, so we'll see if it goes somewhere....
I agree - it IS hard - I think CP soap is easier to make too. There are so many more non-scientific variables with candles that make it challenging.
I never knew it was so hard to make candles. You are one talented lady!
It's def. all a learning curve! I'm just happy to know that it can be done. :)
Tessie LOVES your candles, Heather! So do I! They are so pretty and smell so nice. And I am a very happy camper now that I have my giant order of the Champagne Chic lotion.... Pretty soy candle light, Champagne body lotion, the song "Moonlight in Vermont" on the play list... Daffodils blooming and just one smallish pile of dirty leftover snow in the backyard.... Can life really get any better than this? ....
