Table for 20

Thanksgiving is at our house this year. We'll have about 20 people. Grandparents, cousins, aunties & uncles. It's one of my favorite days and I LOVE having everyone come here! I'm just now starting to plan the menu. I'm feeling slightly adventurous this year and would love to hear about which side dishes you all love. It's so fun to check out how our menus are impacted by where we live, how we grew up... Please share!!!

Meanwhile, look at the adorable apron I found on etsy! Don't you all want one? I found this cutie store this morning. The shop features really cute aprons. She has adorable Mommy & me setts and this cute autumn frock ;) You can buy it at jnsweeny

I love aprons, I still use my grandmother's apron. One year I made my daughter, and her two daughters matching gingerbread aprons~ actually two aprons and a large bib for the little one.

It's one of those projects I had more time to do...so much fun!

Wow, what an undertaking! I wish you oodles of success. On large dinners, I struggle with the timing. Oh well, I'll eventually get it figured out, if I made larger dinners more often, I'd probably be more successful :-)

Turkey Day has been at my mom's house the last few years...but I'm always in charge on Green Bean Casserole and Candied Sweet Potatoes.
And LOVIN' the aprons! I just finished up the second vendor's apron...they are so much fun to make!

I'm with Carrie, I love aprons too...even though I rarely wear them. ;)

We're pretty boring people. We rarely hold huge Thanksgiving dinners. And we rarely serve anything exciting. I don't even like pumpkin pie, so we often have sweet potato pie or pecan pie, both of which I do love.

Good luck with the meal and have tons of fun with your family!

Love those aprons. They have beautiful ones at Kirklands. Wait...do you have Kirkland's up there in the northern wonderland?

Last Thanksgiving, my mom in law got a jar of butternut squash with all the spices added from Williams/Sonoma and I cooked the yummiest casserole ever with it. I don't have the recipe though...! She got it with the jar. It was divine even if the squash came from a jar. A lot like sweet potato casserole...

These aprons are so cute. Every girl should have a collection of them, in my opinion. :)
