Great Friends, Good Times

Friday afternoon/evening was Dinner Picnic at Silver Lake Night. It's kind of a tradition in the most loose way. It ends up being "whoever feels like it bringing whatever they feel like." Nothing structured or formal. We were blessed with beautiful weather. Lots and lots of wonderful friends gathered for a a great time. The highlight was all of the "MOMS" lining up at the end of the dock, holding hands and jumping in. I'm so sad that there's no footage. Austen and Peter were impressed. (What mom doesn't want to impress their pre-teen?)
Can you notice the little patch of leaves taking on their Autumn colors? *sigh*

As we send our little ones back to school tomorrow am, I am giving thanks for all of our amazing friends and all of their amazing kids~and there are LOTS of them. We are so lucky and glad to raise our kids with you all! Thanks for a great time!

It was a blast! Now if we could just get all those crazy women to go in the water BEFORE the sun goes down...

The river was fun too thanks for showing us another spot!

I too really like your new background. Can you do that in any of the formats?

Silver Lake night turned out perfect! ... It's def. one of our fav. spots, and with the weather as gorgeous as it was, what's not to like? (Other than seeing some trees turning color ALREADY!!)

Hope you survived your empty nest okay today....

Awesome job with the whole impressing the pre-teen and braving the cold water.

I agree, the little patch of fall colors on the leaves is a little depressing.

Where did summer go??

It was a perfect day! Thanks again for inspiring me to take the day from work, go to a kid's concert at Chandler and then hit the road for Silver Lake and an afternoon/evening of fun. And I thought the highlight was when the mean girls capsized the kayak with me and Dave B. in it.

Sounds like everyone had a great time! The pics are great, even the fall foliage the is coming way to soon (in my opinion!)

Good job impressing the pre-teens! That is a feat in itself!

Wow! Is the entire state of Vermont that gorgeous!?!?!!? Sounds like a fun-filled day...except jumping in the lake sounds cold for some reason...I guess bc it's a lake in Vermont.

Hey Pajamamama~ Yes! The entire state of Vermont is that gorgeous...except for a couple of rough spots... but they are few and far between and usually way up in the unpopulated woods (think Deliverance)
