Hey! We've Been Flocked!

We've been flocked by an anonymous friend. It's the most clever fund~raising idea I've ever seen. A high school student here in Randolph was accepted to an exchange program to Europe this summer. To raise money, she is moving this cute flock of flamingos around our town. The plan is that you offer $20.00 to have the whole flock delivered to someone's front lawn in the middle of the night. Of course, she offers to take them away for nothing, but how could you possibly grinch all of this fun?? The thing that cracks me up is that our house is WAY off of the road, so the only "peeps" who knew about the flocking, aside from our family, were our ten hens. They were most curious about the visitors... until they found some good grubs to munch. Hmmmmm... who will we flock next?

What a cute way to make money!

That girl should do well in life with that kind of an imagination or is that something that happens a lot in Vermont? Lots of flocking? I haven't seen it in Missouri. Yet.

I wish I had chickens but although I have lots of ground I don't have a pen or a building for them. They are such a help at keeping the ticks under control but then the dogs or coyotes keep the chicken population under control. As in wiped out. That was the last time I had chickens. I miss them.

Yes...flocking occurs here as well. It all started here as practical jokes that a group of married lady/friends did on each other....under cover of night which was hysterical. Anyway, it evolved into a fund raiser. AND, there's this potty with flowers in the pot that also makes itself around to people's yards with a note attached, as well, for a fund raiser!

Sounds like you've had a busy spring! I haven't blogged much...trying to catch up on my bloggy friends, too!

That is both the most imaginative and the cutest way of raising money I've ever heard of. This sort of thing should spread around, so everyone can get in on the laughs.
